An Invite

Sermon Note

Sharing your faith is more about the INVITATION and less about the INFORMATION.

[Mark 10:21-22] Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. "There is still one thing you haven't done," he told him. "Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." [22] At this the man's face fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions.

It's not your job to CONVINCE anyone to follow Jesus.

[John 1:40-46] Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of these men who heard what John said and then followed Jesus. [41] Andrew went to find his brother, Simon, and told him, "We have found the Messiah" (which means "Christ"). [42] Then Andrew brought Simon to meet Jesus. Looking intently at Simon, Jesus said, "Your name is Simon, son of John--but you will be called Cephas" (which means "Peter").

We are all called to be an INVITER like Andrew was.

If you believe in God, you cannot keep QUIET.

Jesus SEES and INCLUDES the people others overlook.

[Matthew 4:19 ESV] And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

If we can get our friends in the PRESENCE of Jesus, He will change them.

[Mark 16:15] And then he told them, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.

Jesus is better experienced than EXPLAINED.

[Psalm 34:8] Taste and see that the Lord is good.

Maybe the very THING that you think disqualifies you is the thing that QUALIFIES you.
