Walking with the Spirit

It is impossible to live the Christian life without the HOLY SPIRIT.

 [John 14:16-17 ESV] And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, [17] even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

 The Holy Spirit is God's Spirit HERE with us NOW.

[Psalm 139:7] I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!

 There is POWER available to you through the Holy Spirit.

 [Acts 1:8] But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere--in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

If you IGNORE the Holy Spirit you are ignoring GOD.

 [Acts 2:37-38] Peter's words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, "Brothers, what should we do?" [38] Peter replied, "Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

God wants to EMPOWER you to do the work He has called you to.

 [Galatians 5:25-26] Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit's leading in every part of our lives. [26] Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.

God doesn't send His power WHEN you get it right; He sends it so you CAN get it right.

[Ezekiel 36:26-27] And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. [27] And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.
