The Death of the Dream
Sermon Notes
[Isaiah 46:9-10] "Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done".
You can’t do HARD things without first going through HARD times.
Sometimes God allow seemingly BAD things to happen for a purpose that only He knows at the time.
[Genesis 37:32-33] And they sent the robe of many colors and brought it to their father and said, “This we have found; please identify whether it is your son's robe or not.” And he identified it and said, “It is my son's robe. A fierce animal has devoured him.
In many ways, in ORDER for a dream to be fulfilled, it must DIE.
[Isaiah 55:8-9] “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts”
God knows more than YOU do about what you are going through.
[Genesis 39:1-4] The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, and he was in the house of his Egyptian master. His master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord caused all that he did to succeed in his hands. So Joseph found favor in his sight and attended him, and he made him overseer of his house and put him in charge of all that he had.
Let go and FOLLOW God.
