Into Temptation

[Matthew 6:9-13 NIV] "This, then, is how you should pray: " 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, [10] your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. [11] Give us today our daily bread. [12] And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. [13] And lead us not into temptation...

God has given us FREE WILL but that comes with temptation to do wrong.

[James 1:13-15] And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, "God is tempting me." God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else. [14] Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. [15] These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.

It is impossible to be tempted by something you don't CRAVE.

[Mark 7:15] It's not what goes into your body that defiles you; you are defiled by what comes from your heart."

Don't blame the DEVIL for the bad choices you made.

[1 Corinthians 10:12-13] If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. [13] The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

You cannot AVOID temptation but you can OVERCOME it.

You can RESIST the temptations that come your way.

[James 1:12] God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

God will BLESS you for resisting temptation.
