Sermon Notes

The world's problems are caused by SIN, not by GOD.

In our own power, we cannot be GOOD ENOUGH.

[Isaiah 7:14] All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means 'God is with us').

God wants to be WITH you.

[Matthew 1:18] This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit.

All religions are based on an ATTEMPT to FIND our way to God.

[Isaiah 41:10] Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

God has already done EVERYTHING needed for us to have a relationship with Him.

Instead of following RULES we follow JESUS.

[Zephaniah 3:17] For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs."

God’s ultimate gift is His PRESENCE.

[Matthew 28:20b] And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
